McGinity joins strong Bass Liberal Team
Will Hodgman MP
Leader of the State Opposition
Saturday 13 February, 2010
I warmly welcome the Liberal Party’s endorsement of Michele McGinity to join the Liberal team for Bass for the next State election.
Michele McGinity’s endorsement completes an excellent Liberal line up which offers real change for the people of Bass, joining Pam Dakin, Michael Ferguson, Shadow Treasurer Peter Gutwein MP, and Nick Pedley.
Michele McGinity was educated at Scottsdale Primary School and later in Launceston. She has strong family and community connections with the North-East.
Michele has been involved with a range of community groups, including as marketing and communications manager with Greening Australia.
She also worked for a time overseas and held a senior public relations position with the City of Westminster Council, in central London.
I believe Michele will be a great addition to our strong Bass team. She has a particular affinity with the rural parts of the electorate, as well as having a strong marketing background. Her interest in practical environmental measures reflects the strong advocacy that Sue Napier has taken during her long and distinguished parliamentary career representing the people of Bass.
